Job Description
Under the direction of the Chief Information Officer , the primary purpose of the Manager, Health Information Management is to describe strategies to implement an EMR system and compare immediate and incremental approaches to EMR implementation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Display multi-disciplinary approach to prepare the new system, ensure privacy and security compliance, design practice workflows, train the care team and manage the adoption process;
Monitors compliance of documentation via each of the clinical applications;
Provides qualitative and quantitative reports on data and analytics to the Executive team;
Closes, files, stores, and destroys records per regulations and policies;
Follows auditing guidelines.
Job Requirements
Bachelor???s Degree with certification in Health Information Management program
Minimum 5 years experience in acute care hospital or multi-specialty clinic in a similar role
Experience in EMR implementation essential
Knowledge of medical terminology and coding desired
