The British Embassy in Cairo Internship - Media and Communications
The British Embassy in Cairo would like to offer a six month internship in the Media and Communications section.
The Internship will give the successful candidate an insight into the workings of a large diplomatic mission and valuable work experience in media and international relations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Create engaging content in Arabic and English for our social media channels (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram)
Assist with monitoring trends, top stories, and reactions on our social media platforms
Video filming and editing for social media
Creating graphics for campaigns
Broader assistance to the Communications Team including event management and translation
Internship Requirements
Fluent written and oral English language skills
High level of Arabic language ability
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Experience with video editing and graphic design programmes
Knowledge of social media platforms and associated software
Proven interest/ background in a field relevant to media or international relations
Please note that this is a full-time internship, and therefore not suitable for candidates currently in full-time education.
