the General Civil Aviation Authority - GCAA is currently seeking to hire a Specialist - Aircraft Registration

Duties and Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

  • Certification/Approval, Audit and Continued Oversight

  • Evaluate the legal documents related to the registration, deregistration, transfer of aircraft title by review the documentation, mortgage agreements, lease agreement, and ownerships of the aircraft.

  • Ensure that the processing of all aircraft registration activities, supporting registration of new aircraft and de-registration process comply with the international standards, regulation and policies from a legislative perspective.

  • Conduct legal review on legitimate airworthiness issues reported by individual/ public (eg. through VORSY), to ensure accurate determination of root cause, corrective and preventive actions including formulation appropriate corrective action to enhance individual/ public confidence on the UAE aviation system.

  • Prepare the airworthiness cases for consultation with the Legal Department and ARU to ensure authenticity of the documents provided to GCAA regarding Air Craft Registration to protect GCAA from any legal liability. Industry networking / forums / meetings

  • Participate in regular internal and external meetings/forums related to Airworthiness/maintenance to facilitate stakeholder collaboration and to maintain an open channel of communication and discussion with stakeholders.

  • Direct the senior management of the organization to establish a resolution of safety concerns process, ensuring the organization response to address the safety concerns with an acceptable preventative measure.

  • Undertake the exchange of information with foreign stakeholders, such as the original equipment manufacturers, foreign regulatory authorities and other international aviation bodies on safety issues affecting the UAE aircraft /operators and aviation industry to share experience and to ensure UAE actions and contribution to the international aviation community.

  • Managing and working with the Industry through dedicated Working Groups to enhance any selected aviation rules and policy by addressing ambiguity, providing accurate interpretation and easing of implementation of the rules.

  • Managing and working with the Industry in the implementation of Aircraft Maintenance Optimization Program on specific aircraft type/ model to achieve technical, economic benefits and assuring an acceptable level of safety. Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in continuous improvement programs within Airworthiness as per set guideline and project charter, to enhance existing systems and processes and ensure alignment with GCAA???s objectives.

  • Continuous learning in updating knowledge, skills and competency level to match the advancement of the novel technology in civil aviation to support the GCAA readiness to face the demands of the future aviation system.
